CHRISTINE HARTLEY Orchestral Strings |

Christine has been with the Bringe School of Music since 1997 but has been teaching for over 40 years. Originally from South Africa, she attended the University of South Africa as well as Trinity College in London, receiving both teaching and performance degrees. In addition to our School, Christine has taught at John Hopkins Magnet School in the Strings program there. From 1976-96, she taught piano and cello at several conservatories in France. She has performed as a concert pianist as well as playing chamber music in England, France, Namibia, South Africa, and the USA. As a solo pianist, she has made a particular study of Chopin. Currently, Christine is the principal cellist with the Tampa Bay Symphony Orchestra. In her spare time, Christine enjoys working to protect wildlife and the environment. |
