Text Box: The Bringe Weekly Sports
A New, Updated Look For 2007!

With 2006 behind us, I
thought it would be good
to update the look of
The Bringe Weekly
a bit. Many of you
have shared your
positive opinions about
The Weekly over the last
year that I’m committed to keeping it fresh, entertaining and informative. The Weekly, now in its 3rd year, was ready for a face lift. The new colors were chosen after many others were tested on numerous computers. I learned that what looks great on my laptop doesn’t necessarily look great on other monitors. After much “color research” was done, we think that these colors are enjoyable and lively without being dark or too intense. We’ve also moved our site links to the side and updated the “official” Bringe Weekly picture. What will not change is the day we mail it (always on Wednesdays) and the kind of easy-to-read articles and information that we believe you enjoy receiving from Bringe Music each week! Enjoy!
Text Box: Music Plays Prominent Role In President’s State Funeral!

For those of you fortunate enough to hear or watch the state funeral for President Ford,
the occasion was solemn and
befitting a head of state. It was
made more so by the glorious
music of the US Marine
Chamber Orchestra and the
Armed Forces Chorus. I was
able to listen on line and was
in tears each time they played
and sang. They were, in a word, awe-inspiring. Listening to these dedicated soldiers perform ‘America The Beautiful’ made my heart burst with pride to be an American. I hope you had the chance to hear them too!

Text Box: What Would YOU Like To See In The Weekly?

Our goal has always been to make The Weekly
an e-newsletter that everyone enjoys reading.
Otherwise, what’s the point? So, in that spirit,
we are always excited to receive your input about
the content of The Weekly. What would you like
to see? Is there a particular subject or aspect of
music you’d like to know more about? Do you have
questions about instruments or any other product?
Send us your thoughts or ideas! We are happy to continue to create and re-create The Weekly as ideas or suggestions deem appropriate!
Text Box: January Birthdays!

The month of January over the years has brought
an eclectic group of musicians into the world!
Among the assorted luminaries are: Django
Reinhardt (1910), Skitch Henderson (1918),
Justin Timberlake (1981), Stephan Grapelli (1908),
Steven Stills (1945), Patty Loveless (1956),
Marilyn Manson (1969), Joan Baez (1941)

forget to mention one of the greatest musical

Mozart (1756) … or our own Debbie Heffern
who was born on January 24th! Debbie,
you are in very good musical company!
