Ben Jarvis
French Horn, Trumpet

Ben Jarvis came to the Tampa Bay area from Indiana in 2004 after receiving his degree in Music Education from Ball State University. After four years of teaching at the high school level, he has settled into teaching elementary general music and loves it! He has served as principal trumpet of the Tampa Bay Symphony and currently performs with the Helios Jazz Orchestra based in St. Pete and Voices of Jazz in Dunedin. Ben also freelances for local churches and stage productions. He has been teaching trumpet and french horn at the Bringe School of Music since 2012. His students have been awardeed superior ratings at the Florida Bandmasters Association Solo and Ensemble Festivals, and a number of them have been selected to the Pinellas All County Concert, Jazz Bands, and the Florida All State Bands. Ben is a member of the National Association for Music Education, the Florida Music Educator's Association, the International Trumpet Guild, and the Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia Fraternity. In his spare time, Ben enjoys going to the beach and playing beach volleyball, spending time with friends and with his dogs, Sadie and Bella!


Kevin Clark
Trumpet

We are very pleased to have Kevin as part of our School of Music faculty! Kevin holds his Bachelor of Music Education from Northwestern State University and did graduate work at the University of North Texas. He has been teaching throughout Florida & Texas since 1990. A veteran of the U.S. Armed Forces, he served as ceremonial bandleader and trumpeter in the U.S. naval Reserve. Locally, Kevin is a member of the Helios Jazz Orchestra and the First Presbyterian Praise Team. In addition, he operates Tampa Bay's only full-service horn section agency, Bayside Horns. David Tatro
Baritone, Euphonium , Trombone, Tuba

One of the Tampa Bay area's most versatile trombonists, David Tatro can often be heard performing music in a wide variety of genres including orchestral music, jazz, Latin, ska, reggae, blues, rock, funk, rockabilly, soul, and hip hop. He is a full-time member of The New Rulers Ska Band, the Tampa Bay Symphony, and the Tomkats Jazz Orchestra, and performs with many other groups on an as-needed basis. David earned his AA degree in music from Edison College, where he studied trombone with Bernard Schnieder, former principal trombonist with the St. Louis Symphony. He then furthered his studies at Florida State University where he majored in music composition and studied trombone with Dr. John Drew, principle trombonist of the Tallahassee Symphony Orchestra, renowned soloist, and past president of the International Trombone Association. When David is not performing music, teaching, or working full time as a golf course greenskeeper, he enjoys reading, writing, listening to live music, and various outdoor activities such as golf and fishing.
